Swingers Australia: Find the Room Nearest You

More than 650 members across the country, with a page each for Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth.

A big country, so start with your state

Swingers Lounge has more than 650 members in Australia, and more than 250 of them are couples. The country is wide, and the sensible way into it is state by state, because the venues, the distances and the rules all change at the border.

Pick your state below. Each page covers the venues we have checked, the bars for a first drink and the practical side of getting there and home. If you are new to all this, our guide to what swinging is is a plain-words place to begin, and all our places are gathered in one hub.

Choose your state

  • Swingers in Sydney

New South Wales: a Saturday club out in Rydalmere, a party venue in Annandale and harbour bars in The Rocks and Millers Point.

  • Swingers in Melbourne

Victoria: a venue at Seaford, ticketed party nights in the CBD and a bar on level 55 of the Rialto.

  • Swingers in Brisbane

Queensland: Valley bars, a Friday and Saturday club in Loganholme and the Gold Coast just over an hour down the line.

  • Swingers in Perth

Western Australia: two clubs with published hours, and the State Buildings and Northbridge for a first drink.

Every one of these is a drive or a ride from the centre, which is why a first drink in the city is the usual opening move. Adelaide has The Rabbit Hole, a private members' lifestyle club whose events page listed dates from 17 October to 28 November 2026 when we looked. It is not one of the four state pages, but the same advice applies. Read how swingers clubs work before a first visit.

Plan a weekend, not just an evening

Each capital has a getaway within about 85 km. Brisbane to the Gold Coast is about 66 km, Perth to Mandurah about 72 km, Melbourne to Geelong about 75 km and Sydney to Wollongong 85 km. Between capitals the numbers jump, with Perth 2,120 km from Adelaide.

Couples in different cities need a weekend rather than an evening, so book the room, agree the plan by message and keep the first meeting somewhere public. The first swinger meet guide walks through how the evening should run.

Each state page breaks the same figures down for its own members.

Swinging is a niche, so use a site built for it

In Australia's national sex survey, which interviewed 20,094 people in 2012 and 2013, fewer than 3% had taken part in swinging, and the same went for group sex (Richters and colleagues, Sexual Health, 2014).

It is a small slice of any population. Swingers Lounge puts the question on every profile: members say what they are open to, from soft swap to full swap, so you meet people who already want what you want.

Stay healthy and stay on the right side of the law

healthdirect, the government-supported health service, says a Medicare card should cover STI testing at your doctor or a sexual health clinic, and it recommends checks on a regular basis for anyone who is sexually active.

The law is set state by state. Queensland, for example, treats an indecent act in a public place as an offence under its Criminal Code. Wherever you are, keep anything sexual out of public view and inside places where everyone has agreed to be there. The safety page and swinger etiquette cover the rest.

Swingers Australia, answered

Are there swingers clubs in Australia?

Yes. When we checked on 14 October 2026, venues in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide had events or opening hours listed. Each state page names them and says how far they sit from the centre. Confirm dates and door rules with the venue before you travel.

Do the rules differ between Australian states?

Each state writes its own laws on sex in public, so the wording changes across the country. Queensland, for example, treats an indecent act in a public place as an offence. The safe approach everywhere is the same: nothing sexual in public view.

How do I meet Australian swingers before a night out?

Join, set your nearest town and browse members in your state. Swap messages, then meet for a drink in town, and move on to a venue together only when everyone is keen. VIP adds search filters for city and distance, which helps across long distances.

Is Swingers Lounge discreet for Australians?

Other members see your username and nearest town, never your real name, email or address. You can block anyone in a tap, report anything that feels wrong and keep sensitive photos blurred until a member chooses to look. The safety page lists every protection.

Walk in already knowing a name
