Couples welcome
Swinger Couples: Meet Couples Who Share Your Pace
One profile for the two of you, rules you set at home and a clear way to say hello.
One profile that speaks for both of you
On Swingers Lounge a couple is a member type of its own, with a single profile for the pair. More than 2,100 couples are members, so a couple looking for couples has a real list to browse.
Write the profile together, in "we", with a photo of each of you and one of the two of you. Daily matches are chosen for that one profile, so you browse them side by side and answer together. Our guide to swinger profile tips has four worked examples, including one for a couple.
Three ways couples use the lounge
Meet before a club night
Say hello to couples who go to the same clubs, so someone at the bar already knows your names.
Plan a party together
VIP members can agree the night, the venue and where to meet in a private group chat of up to 50 people.
Invite a third
Find a woman or a man to join you, with ground rules you have both signed up to first.
Settle the rules in your own kitchen
Talk before you message anyone. There is no rulebook for swinging, and a Psychology Today writer puts it plainly: the boundaries sit wherever the couple agrees to put them. So agree yours, together and out loud, and cover these:
- Soft swap, full swap, or "it depends on the couple".
- Same room or separate rooms.
- Whether kissing is in or out.
- Who decides on the night, and what the stop word is.
- Protection and testing: what you will use and when you will get checked.
- How you will talk it over the next day.
Go at the slower partner's pace
If one of you is keener than the other, the answer for now is the cautious one's. A yes you had to talk someone into is a no that hasn't arrived yet. Feelings can also surprise you on the night, so agree in advance what happens if one of you wants to stop: a word, a pause, a drink together away from the others.
Soft swap or full swap: decide before you meet
Soft swap stops short of full sex. Full swap doesn't. Neither is the braver choice or the beginner's choice, only the one you have both agreed.
| Settle this | If it's soft swap | If it's full swap |
|---|---|---|
| The line | Name exactly where it stops, then stop there. | Name what is still off the table. |
| Rooms | The same room is an easy way to start. | Same room or separate rooms, decided in advance. |
| Protection | Agree what you will use and what you will skip. | Condoms to hand, and testing agreed before the night. |
| Check-ins | A look or a word at the end of each stage. | A pause between stages, and a talk the next day. |
Terms like these are explained in plain words in our guide to swinging terms, and what is swinging covers the basics for anyone still deciding.
Meeting other couples, one step at a time
Chat first. Swap a few messages, read their profile twice and notice whether they ask about you as well as telling you about themselves. When all four of you feel easy, suggest a drink somewhere public, early in the evening, with nothing promised.
Decide in person. If the four of you are relaxed, plan a second evening: a meal, a party, or a club night where you can read the room together. If not, a polite goodnight is all anyone is owed. Your first swinger meet and swinger etiquette cover the detail, and the rest of our swinging guides go deeper.
Keep the exit open at every stage. Either of you can leave a conversation, a drink or an evening without explaining. If a couple keeps pushing after a no, block them: they can no longer see you or contact you, and you can report them to the team. Distance matters as well, and swingers near me shows how to look for couples within an easy trip.
Before you hit send: a checklist for couples
Run through it together every time. It takes a minute.
- Read their whole profile, limits included.
- Write as "we" and keep it to a few lines.
- Mention one thing from their profile.
- Say what you are open to, and what you are not, in a sentence.
- Suggest a drink in public, with nothing promised.
- Look at the verified badge and the behaviour rating before you meet.
- Agree a signal to leave, and keep to it.
A Classic membership caps your messages each day and VIP removes the cap, so one considered message beats five rushed ones. The safety page explains the ratings and checks.
Swinger couples, answered straight
Do both of us need our own profile?
No. A couple is a member type of its own, so the two of you share one profile. Write it together, include a photo of each of you and one of the pair, and answer messages as a couple, so anyone writing to you knows they are talking to both of you.
What is a couple swap?
A couple swap is when two couples agree to exchange partners for an evening. How far it goes depends on whether you have chosen soft swap or full swap, so settle that between yourselves first, and again with the other couple before the evening begins.
How do swinging couples find other couples?
Through profiles, daily matches and a good first message. Read a few profiles, pick couples whose limits and pace sound like yours and write to them as a pair. VIP members can also search by city, distance and what people are open to.
Can a couple send messages on a Classic membership?
Yes, within a daily limit. Classic membership allows a set number of messages each day, and you can still read and answer anything a VIP member sends you. VIP lifts the limit and adds chat rooms and private group chats of up to 50 people, which suit couples planning a party.
