Swingers Canada: Meet Couples From Ontario to BC

More than 200 members, led by Ontario, with the west and Quebec behind it. Meet people first, then plan the distance.

Ontario leads, the west follows

In Canada there are more than 200 Swingers Lounge members, more than 70 of them couples. Ontario has more than 95, British Columbia and Alberta more than 30 each, and Quebec more than 20.

Canada is a long way across, so the province is the useful unit. Below you will find where the members are, how couples make the distance work and what to know before you set off. For a wider view, all our places sit in one list.

Where you live changes the plan

Ontario

Ontario has more members than any other province. Toronto is the one city above 10, so search from there and widen the distance in steps.

British Columbia and Alberta

Each has more than 30 members, enough to message a handful of couples in your own province before you think about travel.

Quebec

Quebec's more than 20 members make a province-wide search the sensible start. Say on your profile which language you would like to chat in.

Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Nova Scotia

With fewer than 10 members each, your main tools are a wide search distance, a clear profile and a willingness to meet halfway.

Know the crowd before you message

Put your age range and what you are open to on your profile, and your suggested matches follow it.

Make the distance work

  • Search close to home

Distance already counts in your suggested matches, and VIP adds filters for city, distance and what people are open to, so a whole province becomes one search.

  • Meet halfway

Choose a town both couples can reach in an evening, share one drink and agree an end time. Whoever is driving stays sober.

  • Mind your manners early

Say what you are open to, ask before you assume and take no for an answer. The etiquette guide covers the rest.

Agree your limits before you drive

There is no rulebook for swinging. A Psychology Today writer on soft swinging makes the point that, with no governing body, the limits sit wherever the couple puts them. Put yours in place at home, before the long drive, rather than in a car park on arrival.

Consent counts for everyone, every time. And if anyone is uncomfortable or unsure, or anything feels off, Healthline's advice is short: stop.

More Canadians than you would guess

Asked about their history, a fifth of 2,003 Canadian adults in a nationally representative online survey said they had been in an open arrangement before, and 12% named it as their ideal (Fairbrother, Hart and Fairbrother, Journal of Sex Research, 2019).

Open arrangements cover more than swinging, but the figures show how many Canadians have stepped outside the usual script. Our guide to what swinging is explains where it fits.

Check the rules before you travel

Check the rules where you live: what counts as acceptable in public, and where, is not the same everywhere. Keep anything sexual behind a closed door, at home or in a venue set up for it.

On health, ask your own doctor or a local sexual health clinic what testing is available where you live and how often to go, and agree a testing routine with every couple you meet. Health agencies such as the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are plain about condoms: latex ones lower the risk of STIs without removing it, and they only work when used correctly, every time. The safety page covers what the site adds.
