Hockley or the Lace Market for the first drink
Choose between bohemian Hockley and the Lace Market, which is known for its bars. A guide published on 1 September 2025 names three places to try. The Blind Rabbit is at Weekday Cross in the Lace Market, Six Richmond House is in Hurts Yard, and The Hockley Arts Club is on Warser Gate in Hockley. Check opening times before you go, because that guide is over a year old.
Old Market Square, Sneinton and The Park are other names you will hear, with West Bridgford and Beeston as the suburbs. A NET tram stop sits directly above Nottingham station, the M1 is reached at junctions 24, 25 or 26, and East Midlands Airport is 12 miles south-west.
