Glasgow Swingers: Two Clubs, and Couples to Go With

A club in a listed former sawmill, swing and kink nights near Hope Street, and bars in the city centre.

A club in a listed sawmill

CJ's at the Townhouse sits on Craighall Road in Port Dundas, on the north side of the city, in a listed 19th-century former sawmill. The Sunday Post reported on 25 January 2026 that the swinging venue is still welcoming members.

More than 100 of our members live in Glasgow, and more than 25 of them are couples. The other half of the story is in the city centre, which is also marketed as the Merchant City.

A listed building makes a good story, but the practical questions are the usual ones. Ask which nights suit a first visit, what the dress code is and whether singles are welcome, and expect to show photo ID, as most clubs ask.

Swing, kink and mixed nights near Hope Street

The Ecclesia is in the city centre near Hope Street. It runs kink and swing club nights, among them mixed nights, ladies' nights, LGBT nights and workshops, and its site listed events from 16 October to late November 2026 at our 14 October check.

The theme of the night decides who the room is for, and a workshop is a very different evening from a mixed night, so read the description before you book. New to the idea? What swinging is answers the basics, and swingers clubs covers the door.

Trains from Manchester run into Central Station, so swingers in Manchester are a rail ride away. For the rest of the country see swingers UK and the places page, and read our safety page before you meet anyone.

Glasgow answers for the night out

Is there a swingers club in Glasgow?

Yes, two: CJ's at the Townhouse on Craighall Road in Port Dundas, and The Ecclesia in the city centre near Hope Street. Both looked active for 2026 when we checked on 14 October, and The Ecclesia listed events from 16 October to late November.

How do I get around Glasgow after a night out?

Central Station serves trains from London Euston, Manchester and southern Scotland, and Queen Street serves fast Edinburgh trains and the north. The Subway is a single loop and the third-oldest underground system in the world. Glasgow Airport is 8 miles west, near Paisley.

What is there to do in Glasgow before a club night?

Glasgow has been a UNESCO City of Music since 2008, and the West End is the boho café and bar district. The University of Glasgow, founded in 1451, has some 21,000 undergraduates and 11,500 postgraduates. Make an early start of it: a walk, a drink in the centre, then the club once you both feel ready.
