Swingers in Manchester
Manchester Swingers: Your Night Out, Planned
Two cocktail bars, two clubs and the tram home, from the Northern Quarter to Rochdale.
Five moves from the first drink to the week after
Manchester rewards a plan. This one is built from places that checked out on 14 October 2026, in the order you would visit them.
Meet in town
Start at Schofield's Bar in Sunlight House on Little Quay Street, or at The Morris on Thomas Street in the Northern Quarter. Both are on the Top 50 Cocktail Bars 2026 list, and one round each is plenty for a first meeting.
Choose the club
Cupids in Swinton, Salford, says it has been established for more than thirty years and had events listed for 14, 15 and 16 October 2026. Decadance in Rochdale has a licensed bar and a weekly programme on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with dated nights from 21 October to 21 November. Read swinger etiquette before either.
Fix the way there
Rochdale is 10 miles north-east of the city centre, so settle who drives and who drinks before you leave the house. The M60 rings the city, and the M62, M56, M6 and M61 run out from it.
Last orders, then the tram
Metrolink runs every 12 minutes Monday to Saturday, and its trams all pass through St Peter's Square, Deansgate-Castlefield and Cornbrook. Piccadilly, Victoria, Oxford Road, Deansgate and Salford Central are the stations to know.
Book a check
Staff at an NHS sexual health clinic won't repeat what you tell them to anyone, your GP included, without your say-so, and you needn't give your real name. Find a clinic by postcode on the NHS website, or ring the national helpline on 0300 123 7123.
Hosted nights work differently from club nights, and swingers parties explains how guest lists and house rules run. New to clubs altogether? Swingers clubs covers the door.
Ten boroughs, one lounge
More than 250 of our members live across Greater Manchester, and more than 70 of them are couples. Profiles name Manchester itself most often (more than 150), then Wigan (more than 25), with Bolton and Stockport at more than 20 each. The county has ten boroughs:
- Bolton
- Bury
- Manchester
- Oldham
- Rochdale
- Salford
- Stockport
- Tameside
- Trafford
- Wigan
The city at the centre is a student town, with more than 86,000 full-time students at the University of Manchester and Manchester Metropolitan University. Neighbours in the north have their own pages too: swingers in Leeds is 80 minutes away by train, and the rest of the country sits on swingers UK and our places page.
Who is at the next table
Who will you meet? Here is the age split across Greater Manchester.

Straight answers for a Manchester night
How far are Stockport, Bolton and Wigan from the city centre?
Stockport is 6 miles south-east of Manchester, Bolton 10 miles north-west and Wigan 16 miles away, with Manchester to its south-east. Rochdale, where Decadance is, lies 10 miles north-east. Profiles name each of these towns, so widen your search beyond the centre.
Which parts of Manchester suit an evening out?
City districts include the Northern Quarter, Ancoats, Spinningfields, Deansgate, Castlefield, Canal Street and Salford Quays, with Didsbury, Chorlton-cum-Hardy, Fallowfield and Withington among the southern suburbs. The Gay Village on Canal Street is described as very popular with people of all sexualities.
Can singles go to the Manchester clubs?
It depends on the club and the night. Door policies differ, and some clubs limit single guests or ask them to arrive with a couple, so read Cupids' and Decadance's own listings before you travel. Meeting a couple through Swingers Lounge first is the surest way to arrive as someone's guest.
I am flying in for a weekend: how do I reach the city?
Manchester Airport flies to more than 200 destinations and is about 20 minutes from the city centre by train. From there, Metrolink and the stations at Piccadilly and Victoria cover the city. Plan your bar first, then your club, and book the way home before the first drink.
