Swingers in Bristol: A Night Out Worth Planning
Meet Bristol couples and singles on the lounge, then take the evening one stop at a time.
Start with a drink on Colston Avenue
The Milk Thistle sits on Colston Avenue in the city centre and is on the Top 50 Cocktail Bars 2026 list, as we checked on 14 October 2026. It makes an easy first stop for an evening you plan together.
Bristol was voted Britain's most musical city in 2010, and Stokes Croft and Montpelier are its bohemian quarter, so a night here has places to wander between. Harbourside, the Old City, Clifton, Broadmead and Cabot Circus, St Paul's, Easton and St Werburghs are the other names on the map.
More than 80 of our members are in the Bristol area, and more than 20 of them are couples. The city is one of the places on our swingers in the UK map, and the full list of places shows every other town we cover.
Five stops, one evening
Treat this as a sketch to share with the couple you are meeting, not a script.
Meet in the centre
Choose a busy city-centre bar such as The Milk Thistle. Agree before you go in how each of you will signal that you would like to leave, and keep the signal as ordinary as asking for the bill.
Head for Stokes Croft or Montpelier
This is the city's bohemian quarter. Give the middle of the evening to it, and use the change of scene to say whether the night is going the way you hoped.
Take a second bar
Filthy XIII is on Cheltenham Road (BS6) and also made the 2026 Top 50 list. Order slowly, ask the other couple what a good night looks like to them and say what you are hoping for.
Give your answer plainly
Yes, not tonight and another night are all good answers, and a straight one beats a polite maybe. Whatever comes next happens only if everyone says so.
Plan the way home
Temple Meads is about a 15-minute walk from the centre. Check the last departure before the last round, and have a lift or a taxi in mind if the night runs late.
The nearest club is across the Severn in South Wales
No swingers club in Bristol showed dated nights when we looked on 14 October 2026. Chameleons lists a venue at 24 Church Street, Newport, on its own website, which carried a 2025 date. Ask the club about its nights, door policy and dress code before you make the trip.
Hosted parties are the other way into the scene. Swingers parties explains guest lists and house rules, and swingers clubs covers what to expect at the door. Before either, a few good messages go a long way, and swinger profile tips shows how to write the first one.
Room to roam beyond the city
Temple Meads is the main station and Bristol Parkway is several miles north. By road you have the M4, the M5 and the M32 spur into the centre, and Bristol Airport is 8 miles south-west.
Bath is 11 miles south-east and Weston-super-Mare is 20 miles south-west. Looking further down the south-west? Swingers in Devon and Cornwall has its own page.

Bristol, answered before the first round

Where can Bristol couples meet for a first drink?
The Milk Thistle on Colston Avenue and Filthy XIII on Cheltenham Road are both on the Top 50 Cocktail Bars 2026 list. Pick a busy bar, tell each other your limits in private chat first and keep the opening hour to a drink and a conversation.
Will other members see where I live in Bristol?
They see a username and your nearest town or city, never your real name, email or street. Blocking is instant, so anyone who makes you uneasy can no longer see or contact you, and our safety page lists every protection, from ID checks to blurred photos.
